A day in life of a director of an outsourcing company.
I am a punctual person, or at least I try to be. So everything I do at work has their own time slots. Today is a weird day and I'd like to share it with you.
⏰ 06:00 alarm clock rang, I turned it off and kept sleeping.
⏰ 08:30 second alarm rang, this alarm normally signifies the end of the morning networking events. I woke up and get ready for work.
⏰ 09:00 arrived at the office (I live 5 minutes away from my office).
⏰ 09:30 first meeting of the day, a webinar about how to scale up from small business to medium business (thanks to CUB Club of United Business). I learned quite a few things today.
⏰ 10:30 working on internal tasks, e.g. reviewing marketing materials, following up with existing clients, etc. Nothing special here, just grinding.
⏰ 14:00 client's interview session with one of our developer candidates, I wanted to be in the room to make sure the interview sessions goes smoothly. The meeting went quite well, but a second meeting needed to be schedule on the same day, so we sent another invite for 16:30.
⏰ 14:30 quick lunch grab, I try to have lunch by 12:30 or so, but rarely. This is an area that I need to improve.
⏰ 15:00 calling my girlfriend for a half-day catch up.
⏰ 16:30 second interview session, which went well and it looks like we are going to add an offshore developer to their company. Win-win for all parties.
⏰ 17:00 dinner with my business partner, as we will need to have a planning session for the next FY later.
⏰ 18:00 FY 2023-2024 planning session. This meeting depleted our energy, but we go home with a plan and strategy on how to achieve next year's goal.
⏰ 23:00 go back home, and talk to my girlfriend before heading to bed.
As you can see in the image, if I had nothing else to do, I would go around trolling my staff (doesn't look like it but that's what I was doing 😈😈😈).
